When I bought my bike I took my time and used SearchTempest, One weekend I went to Brownsville, another weekend San Antonio and Austin, and finally found the bike I liked in Houston.

Here's some I just looked up using SearchTempest:

Yeah.. I guess I gotta wait and not want to buy the first bike I see. If anyone's selling an 08 ninja 250 or newer hit me up.. If the price is right, I'll take it.

+1 you will out grow it WAY TOO FAST, 600's give you room to play and learn throttle control if you plan to just use it for street riding

Don't listen to these fools. The 250 is fine. You said you wanted a bike to ride back and forth to work. That's the one. It won't be near as fast but it'll do 100mph, so it's freeway friendly, get 70 mpg and and be more comfortable to ride, Insurance will be cheaper and you'll prolly have less trouble with the police. The pre 2008 Ninja 250s go for hella cheap since the new ones came out and they sit better for commuting.

Now, if you want flash and be cool with you buddies, then go for the bigger bike. Just be honest with yourself on what you want it for.

As far as out growing a Ninja 250, I don't think you can unless you physically get bigger or want to do some heavy 2-up touring. You might "want" a bigger bike to keep up with your friends or get tired of ignorant douche nozzles telling you you're riding a "girl's" bike.

Really, the Ninja 250 is one of the best commuter bikes there is.

I have an 05 katana that ill sell for 2500. I should get it in a couple of days. It was sitting, so the carbs were a bit dirty, so im getting them cleaned up. I also put new plugs, new battery, yoshimura exhaust, and I put new racing chain and sprocket set. It is scratched up on one side, but it rides good, its comfortable, its a 600, text me at 956-975-6821 if interested, and I can send you pics.
