Getting new grips, any thoughts or help would be appreciated, and would i need an adhesive?

cut the old ones off... spray the insides of the new with hairspray and put on... DONE

Gene was giving you a cheap, quick, oldschool tip on installing new grips. That's not the first time I've seen you shit on somebody's reply that was meant to help you.

Maybe he was looking for style tips? Still, not a very nice response there Mr.1, clarification of your needs would have been better.

And that would have been real nice to know before i changed the grips out on the GSXR, i screwed with those things for two hours, never thought of hair spray. I'll know for next time.

I'm sure he is looking for style tips, but he also asked about adhesive. Gene answered half of his question for him.

At any rate, what are you asking for mR.1? What kind of grips to get? Where to get the best price? What do you want out of your grips? Style? Comfort? Half and half?

You asked if you would need an adhesive the hair spray acts as an adhesive so yea it answered part of your question
